FAQs about Malta

What are the main investment options for the Malta Permanent Residence Programme?

You must either purchase a residential property for a minimum of €375,000 or lease one for at least €14,000 per year for five years.

The required Government Contribution is €30,000 if you choose the purchase option, or €60,000 if you choose the leasing option.

Eligible dependents include your spouse, children under 18 or dependent older children, and financially dependent parents and grandparents.

The permanent residency is granted in a relatively fast process, typically taking between 4 to 6 months from the initial application submission to approval.

The main advantage is the indefinite right to reside in Malta and visa-free travel throughout the entire Schengen Area
